Drivers and passengers for the RSVP Medical Ride program are required to provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19 per RSVP of Dane County Policy.

Wheels TO Meals

Older adults may take a bus to the McFarland noon meal site at the McFarland Municipal Center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. McFarland Senior Outreach coordinates with Transit Solutions to provide wheelchair/scooter accessible transport. Contact McFarland Senior Outreach to make your reservation for a ride 2 business days in advance at 608-838-7117. 

Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) - Medical Rides

McFarland Senior Outreach partners with RSVP of Dane County to coordinate rides for seniors to medical appointments. "Medical appointments" may include visits for primary care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, behavioral therapy, dental and eye care appointments. Volunteer drivers are insured and trained to provide rides to and from medical appointments for seniors over the age of 60 living in the Village of McFarland, Town of Dunn, or Town of Pleasant Springs. Seniors must be able to get into and out of the vehicle with minimal assistance. Wheelchair accessible vehicles are not available for this program. Time frame for rides and appointments must fall within the window of open hours at McFarland Senior Outreach, Monday-Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. This program is not available for seniors who are undergoing procedures during which they might be sedated. Each senior is limited to 3 rides per month. Cost is on a donation basis. Shopping Trips

McFarland Senior Outreach partners with Transit Solutions to provide wheelchair and scooter-accessible transportation to seniors over the age of 60 for shopping. Passengers are allowed up to 6 grocery bags with each trip. Drivers will assist with loading and unloading bags. To schedule a ride, call McFarland Senior Outreach at least 2 business days in advance at 608-838-7117.

  • Mondays: Walmart Supercenter in Monona (Pick up 9:30am/Return at Noon)
  • Tuesdays: Pick n Save in McFarland (Pick up 9:30am/Return 11am)
  • Thursdays: Various locations by request (Pick up 9:30am/ Return 11:30 am)

Veyo Transportation for Wisconsin Medicaid Consumers

Older adults who receive Medicaid benefits through the State of Wisconsin are eligible for no-cost transportation to and from medical appointments. Wheelchair and scooter accessible transport is available. Requires at least 3 business day advance notice for reservations. Contact Veyo directly at 1-866-907-1493

Dane County Transportation Center

The Older Adult Transportation Assistance (OATA) Program is available for seniors over the age of 60 in Dane County who need short term transportation to and from medical appointments. Door-to-door and wheelchair/scooter accessible vehicles are available. Availability is limited and advance reservations are highly recommended by calling 608-242-6489.
